Iron is an important part of your diet. It can be especially important for women at various times in their lives.

Particularly, women who are pregnant and women who have problems with heavy vaginal bleeding or frequent periods need more iron in their diet.

Women can get iron by taking vitamins, iron supplements, and by increasing the iron-rich foods in their diets.
